Women employees working with TRF and members of TRF Ladies Association which comprises spouses’ of Company’s male employees took one moreconcrete step, though small, to bring ‘power to women’ on the occasion of International Women’s Day. The International Women’s Day at TRF was observed in a meaningfully by setting up long termsolutions issues related to those women from the surrounding community.

The ‘Astitva Kendra’ a non-profit making centre, run by TRF Ladies Association for empowering young girls from the neighboring community, through skill training, turned a new leaf by opening the centre to general public.

The Centre, which has over 30 trainees on-roll at present, had been taking orders from the Company and the in-house Ákshar’ school, will now be executing tailoring jobs received from the general public from the community. This small step has provided instant market linkage to the centre as scope of business has now been widened. This step will also help to enhance the earning capacity of those undergoing training at the centre.

Earlier, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, the ladies conducted a voluntary visit to NirmalShishuBhawan and AshirwadBhawan and donated critical domestic appliances such as ceiling fans, exhaust fans, steel racks and nourishing food items. The ladies also conducted entertainment for the residents at which helped to cheer them and break the monotony of the dull life.
