TRF Ltd has bagged the supply order for a Slewing Stacker, for Tata Steel’s ferrochrome plant at Richards Bay, South Africa. The plant is being put up by the Steel Company’s joint venture TATA STEEL KZN and the mineral processing technology is from offshore.

The Slew Stacker, which will be used for handling raw materials, is designed to stack at 180 TPH. It incorporates the latest in Bulk Materials Handling Technology, duly adapted to the South African conditions. The drives are controlled through PLCs, while geared motors have been extensively used for minimizing space.
