NSPCL – Bhilai, Chattisgarh

 

  • TRF has played a major role at a power project between National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) and Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) at Bhilai, Chhattisgarh for setting up a- 2 X 250 MW power plant. The plant is a joint venture between NTPC and SAIL.
  • Mood at the TRF’s NSPCL-Bhilai site office is upbeat. Confidence exudes from the fact that the project is nearing completion. Most of the equipment has been supplied and their installation complete or close to it.

 

The scope of the work involves:

  • Setting up a coal handling plant for a-2X250 MW coal fired power plant for NSCPL, a joint venture between NTPC and SAIL
  • Complete civil work, fabrication and erection of building and technological structural and equipment supply, erection, testing and commissioning
  • Civil work involves approximate 30,000 cubic meters concrete and building structural approximately 3800 MT
  • Supply and installation of Rotary Plough Feeder (04), Stacker Re-claimer(01), Wagon Tippler with Side Arm Charger (01), Crusher R-33 (04), truflo feeders, belt feeders (06) and vibro feeders (all 01), Travelling Tippers (02) and a coal sampling system.
  • Being a turn key order, TRF will supply all conveying equipment and undertake all electrical work
  • Setting up some utility systems for dust suppression, dust extraction, fire fighting and ventilation system
  • Radial Stacker re-claimer that will be set up by TRF has been supplied by Schade, Germany. This is the biggest ever Radial Stacker re-claimer made by Schade. It is approximately 700 MT machine, with central column as the axis, on which it rotates on a circular rail of 128 metres diameter Wagon Tippler with hydraulic drive supplied here is the first of it’s kind by TRF
  • Conveyor # 5 gallery is unique as it hangs from both ends from the drive house
  • In total, there are four transfer points, a drive house, crusher house and a sampling station
  • There are 16 conveyors
