Adding another feather to its cap, TRF Ltd has bagged an order from BGR Energy for the supply of Stacker Reclaimer on a turnkey basis for the coal handling plant of APGENCO, Vijaywada. The project entails designing, engineering, manufacturing, supplying, erection, testing, commissioning and load trials of the Stacker Reclaimer.
Having a stacking and reclaiming capacity of 1200 TPH and 1000 TPH, respectively, the machine has already been commissioned and load trials underway. While its boom length is 29 metres, the major drive types comprise VVVF drives for bucket wheel, slew and travel.
What makes this achievement more commendable is that TRF got this order against stiff competition from companies which are also well known for manufacturing Stacker Reclaimers. APGENCO was visibly impressed by the Stacker Reclaimer, which TRF had supplied to the Kothagudam Thermal Power Station. Also, its reference list of similar machines stood it in good stead.
This business deal will open up more avenues for TRF for the supply of material handling equipment, including Stacker Reclaimers, as many power plants are in the offing. Incidentally, TRF is also supplying a Stacker Reclaimer to the APGENCO plant at Kakatiya.
