Nabinagar Power Generating Company Pvt. Ltd. is a joint venture between NTPC Limited and Bihar State Power (Holding) Company Ltd. TRF which has the distinction of setting up over 50 coal handling plants (CHP) in the country was given the order for designing, engineering, manufacturing, supplying, erecting, testing and commissioning of a coal handling plant for a-3 x 660MW coal based super thermal power project at Nabinagar. The plant is designed to run at a capacity of 3630 tonnes per hour. With work progressing in full swing at the site, we bring to you an update (upto September, 2017) on the ongoing work at the site.

  1. Wagon Tripler (WT): RCC work in 5 th lift of wall is in progress in WT-3.
  2. Transfer Point-1 (TP) & Track Hopper: 2nd lift of wall in track hopper is complete. Work is in full swing for onward lift.
  3. TP 3: Structural work is complete and casting of 2 nd floor is in progress.
  4. Pent House-I (PH) & Conveyor 2 A/B: RCC work for Pent House-I has been completed. Brick work is in progress.
  5. Conveyor 2 A/B: RCC work of tunnel is complete. Out of eight galleries, six galleries have been erected.
  6. Conveyor 3 A/B: All galleries have been erected. Technological structure of conveyor is complete. Idlers have also been fixed.
  7. Conveyor 5 A/B: Civil work & structural work is in progress.
  8. Conveyor 6 A/B: Out of 20 galleries, 15 galleries have been erected and work for technological structures is in progress.
  9. Conveyor 7 A/B: All galleries have been erected.
  10. Crusher House: All floors including EL(+) 35 M has been casted. Mechanical work is in advance stage and two vibrating screens, two crushers and four moveable belt feeders have been erected.
