The theme “Connecting People To Nature” motivates us to appreciate the beauty of nature and consider it as a crucial element in our lives, on which we can depend. Taking this belief forward, TRF kick-started its World Environment Day programme by planting saplings in large numbers to add more green power in its neighbourhood.
On the occasion of World Environment Day, a large number of senior executives of TRF Limited, members of Tata Robins Fraser Labour Union(TRFLU) and TRF Ladies Association took part in the sapling plantation programme held in the area adjoining the rain water harvesting facility in TRF Colony. Mr PS Reddy, Managing Director, TRF Limited and Mr Rakeshwar Pandey, President, TRFLU jointly planted a sapling to launch the month-long environment programme in the company.
With the objective of further enhancing awareness amongst the employees on renewable energy sources, an exhibition on solar energy was put up in the canteen. Along with the exhibition that was put up by Institute of Solar Technologies, Jamshedpur a sale of saplings was also organised. Various awareness programmes on waste paper management and it’s-reuse, solar energy and bio-gas will be held during this month. TRF is gradually moving forward by expanding its organic farming initiative which would help to attain sustainability and enhance the fertility of soil.
Every year, TRF employees join hands to observe this day by serving nature and focus attention on various environment related issues. The company also educates the community to take care of the environment by emphasizing them to consider it as their wealth, which they must nurture with utmost responsibility and hand over to next generation.
